MATH GRADE-4 SYLLABUS

Topics Covered:

1) Review number of order, number of pattern, large number addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

2) Introduce Prime and Composite Numbers, Greatest Common Factor, Least Common Multiple,

3) Fractions and Equivalent Fractions, Improper Fractions and mixed Numbers, Operations on Fractions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and Division)

4) Word problem and critical thinking problem.

5) Introduce negative numbers

6) Home work will be assigned in every class

Goals:

To increase interest in Mathematics, and build the mathematical foundation for the future.

To understand fractions;

To increase the ability of the basic operations on fractions;

To solve world problems

To prepare for the more advanced mathematical concepts.

Requirements:

Grade 1-3 math courses.

1 hour per week attendance

Evaluation:

Evaluation is based on class participation, homework, quiz, midterm and final tests.
