MATH GRADE-3 SYLLABUS

 

 

Topics Covered:

 

1) Multiplication:

Developing Multiplication Number Sense; Multiplying 2, 3, 4 – digit number; Multiplying by a 2 – digit number w/o regrouping.

 

2) Division:

2, 3, 4 – digit quotients w/o remainders; 2 – digit divisors w/o remainders; Sum and average.

 

3) Introduction to fractions.

 

4) Introduction to decimals.

 

5) Basic Geometry:

Shapes; perfect symmetry; and perimeter, area, volume problems.

Goals:

 

To increase interest in Mathematics, and build the mathematical foundation for the future.

To understand the multiplication and division concepts;

To introduce the basic fractions, decimals, and geometry to students;

To prepare for the more advanced mathematical concepts.

 

 

Requirements:

 

Grade 1~2math courses.

 

 

Evaluation:

 

Evaluation is based on class participation, homework, quiz, midterm and final tests.
